Gaa Projects is pleased to announce the opening of Johannah Herr’s solo exhibition, How to Hide an Empire. The show takes its name from Daniel Immerwahr’s book of the same name, How to Hide an Empire: A History of the Greater United States. Herr mined the text for her research and presents a body of work concerned entirely with forgotten or unseen US imperialist aggression. The exhibition will open with a reception with the artist on Saturday, November 11, from 3 - 7 pm and will be on view through Saturday, January 7.
Gaa Gallery is pleased to present Town Crier: Queer Storytelling, a group exhibition featuring Dara Haskins, Johannah Herr, and Patricia Renee’ Thomas. This exhibition curated by Autumn Wallace on the occasion of Wallace’s solo exhibition, Ode to the Mercury Thermometer will run through Saturday, January 8, 2022.
