Gaa is pleased to present Lunacy, a solo exhibition of paintings and watercolors by LA-based artist Jen Hitchings. Conceptualized and largely created during her six-week residency at Colstoun Arts, hosted on the grounds of a nine-hundred-year-old family-owned estate in the Scottish countryside, this recent body of work explores supernatural phenomena and aspects of the feminine divine across shared cultures, mythologies, and histories. Lunacy marks Hitchings’ inaugural solo exhibition with the gallery.
Gaa is pleased to present In The State Of Decision, Kasia Fudakowski’s first solo exhibition with the gallery and debut solo exhibition in the United States. The exhibition’s visitor activated sculptures and changeable lighting, explore the relationship between big and small decisions and the process of making them. Fudakowski’s works refer to the allure and danger of binary categorisation and the subsequent absurdity that it unfolds in our political and social climate, revealing the discrepancies amongst cultural norms.

Dúbravský’s new suite of paintings form an immersive installation of stretched and unstretched canvases exhibited across the gallery’s main space. Congratulations to Dani ReStack who will receive the 2018 Raymond J. Hanley Award from the Greater Columbus Arts Council and The Columbus Foundation. Dani will be the 10th recipient of the annual award which is given to an artist who has demonstrated a high level of achievement. The award money of $15,000 is given without restriction so that the artist can use it to further their career as needed. The winner is selected by an anonymous panel of judges, along with the trustees of the fund.

Since 1899, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts has awarded Travelling Fellowships to outstanding alumni in pursuit of further developing their practice through research and travel. Recipients are granted funding as well as the opportunity to compete for a solo exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. Former Fellows include Omer Fast, Ellen Gallagher, Nan Goldin, and Mike and Doug Starn. This autumn and spring of 2018 Erin will travel to Switzerland work on a new project called, Thigmomorphogenesis.

Gaa Gallery is pleased to present Poetics of the Landscape, a group exhibition featuring Sophia Hamann, Heather MacKenzie and Erin Woodbrey. Poetics of the Landscape will be featured at Gaa Gallery’s new space in Provincetown, located at 494 Commercial Street, Provincetown MA. The exhibition will be open May 6 - 21 and will run concurrently with Appearances: Provincetown Green Arts Festival. An opening reception will be held Saturday, May 7 from 4 - 6pm.
Gaa Gallery is pleased to announce an upcoming group exhibition, featuring works from Esteban Cabeza de Baca, Rodney Dickson, Kenneth Dunne, Sophia Hamann, Barry Stone, Ena Swansea and Erin Woodbrey.
The exhibition will run concurrently with Art Cologne and will be the gallery's first exhibition in Germany. The Gaa Gallery Project Space is located at Große Brinkgasse 8, 50670 Cologne, Germany and will be open from Sunday, April 10 - Tuesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 14 - Sunday, April 17 from 10am - 7pm with a reception and brunch Saturday, April 16 from 10am - 2pm. Parking is available across the street at the Parkhaus Bazaar de Cologne on Große Brinkgasse 11.
Thoralf Knobloch's painting, Teddy 1, is included in a group exhibition, Made in Gemany: Contemporary Art from Rubell Family Collection at the McNay Museum of Art in San Antonio, Texas. The exhibition runs from February 10 to April 24.
Martin Mannig is currently included in a group exhibition featuring Takashi Murakami’s Superflat Collection at the Yokohama Museum of Art, Japan. The exhibition features Martin Mannig's Haleeses Geheiss and will be up until April 3.

We are excited to announce that this upcoming spring we will be opening an additional space on Commercial Street in Provincetown.
