Gaa is pleased to present Lunacy, a solo exhibition of paintings and watercolors by LA-based artist Jen Hitchings. Conceptualized and largely created during her six-week residency at Colstoun Arts, hosted on the grounds of a nine-hundred-year-old family-owned estate in the Scottish countryside, this recent body of work explores supernatural phenomena and aspects of the feminine divine across shared cultures, mythologies, and histories. Lunacy marks Hitchings’ inaugural solo exhibition with the gallery.

Gaa is pleased to present In The State Of Decision, Kasia Fudakowski’s first solo exhibition with the gallery and debut solo exhibition in the United States. The exhibition’s visitor activated sculptures and changeable lighting, explore the relationship between big and small decisions and the process of making them. Fudakowski’s works refer to the allure and danger of binary categorisation and the subsequent absurdity that it unfolds in our political and social climate, revealing the discrepancies amongst cultural norms.

Gaa is pleased to present Collected Signals, Sarah Trigg’s second solo exhibition with the gallery. Trigg’s new works on paper are a departure from her large-scale canvas paintings, with dynamic works that feature loose, gestural brushstrokes. The exhibition focuses on a grid of framed works on paper taken from Trigg’s most recent series, in which Trigg continues her exploration of the subconscious reaching consciousness.

Gaa Gallery New York is pleased to present Alta Montaña, a solo exhibition with Chicago-based artist Juan Arango Palacios. In a new body of work pairing weaving and painting, Arango Palacios explores the archetype of the mountain. Creating a contemporary hybrid of magical realism, autobiography, and folklore, the work in Alta Montaña explores the interactions of identity, diaspora, queer culture, and craft. Alta Montaña will be Arango Palacios’ first solo exhibition with the gallery in New York City and will open on Friday, February 9, with a reception from 6 - 8 pm. 

Gaa Gallery is pleased to present Mosaic of Dopamine Deficiency of a Tadpole, Andrej Dúbravský’s first solo exhibition with the gallery. Dúbravský’s new suite of paintings form an immersive installation of stretched and unstretched canvases exhibited across the gallery’s main space. The installation creates a mosaic of paintings of bees, caterpillars, tadpoles, roosters, and adolescent boys, installed over painted backdrops of abstracted landscapes. Mosaic of Dopamine Deficiency of a Tadpole will open with a reception on Friday, December 15, from 6 to 8 pm at 4 Cortlandt Alley and will be on view through February 3, 2024.

Gaa Gallery is pleased to present Harvest, Hipkiss’ second solo exhibition with the gallery. The exhibition features new works on paper that readdress American and European landscapes through detailed drawings of extant plants, insects, and birds. Featuring a melancholic synthesis of European art history and globalized popular culture, Padoux's work depicts the multidimensionality of cuteness. Cambium is Brooklyn-based artist Zoe McGuire’s first solo exhibition with Gaa Gallery. Marking the Gallery’s inaugural exhibition in New York, Cambium features ten new oil paintings on canvas and recent pastels on paper. Expanding molecular and imagined perspectives of the inner workings of plants, trees, and the interconnectedness of ecosystems, Cambium highlights McGuire’s sensorial visions of the natural world. On view through May 13, 2023, Cambium will open with a reception on Friday, March 17, from 5 to 8 pm at 4 Cortlandt Alley / 368 Broadway, New York, NY.

Gaa Gallery is pleased to present Adam and Eve Were Astronauts, a site-specific installation by Patrice Aphrodite Helmar. In collaboration with the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) and Gaa Gallery, Helmar’s installation will be part of the 2021 edition of NADA House from May 8 to August 1, 2021.

For the 2021 online edition of EXPO CHGO, Gaa Gallery is pleased to present recent works by Wilder Alison, Hipkiss, Anina Major, and Erin Woodbrey. EXPO CHGO Online will take place  April 8 – 12, 2021. Hold, Run examines the world-building capacities of sculpture to simultaneously express the familiar and the strange, physiological and metaphorical. Congratulations to Esteban Cabeza de Baca who has been nominated for the Royal Award for Modern Painting is featured in a group Painting Exhibition at the Royal Palace Amsterdam. The exhibition will be open from October 6 to November 11. 

Congratulations to Dani ReStack who will receive the 2018 Raymond J. Hanley Award from the Greater Columbus Arts Council and The Columbus Foundation.  Dani will be the 10th recipient of the annual award which is given to an artist who has demonstrated a high level of achievement. The award money of $15,000 is given without restriction so that the artist can use it to further their career as needed. The winner is selected by an anonymous panel of judges, along with the trustees of the fund.

Congratulations to Heidi Howard on her collaborative installation with sound artist Liz Phillips. Opening October 7 from 2 - 5 pm at the Queens Museum, “Relative Fields in a Garden” will open in conjunction with the Queens International and will be on view through February 24, 2019.

Congratulations to Erin Woodbrey who recently received a 2018 Traveling Fellowship from Tufts University's School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Since 1899, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts has awarded Travelling Fellowships to outstanding alumni in pursuit of further developing their practice through research and travel. Recipients are granted funding as well as the opportunity to compete for a solo exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. Former Fellows include Omer Fast, Ellen Gallagher, Nan Goldin, and Mike and Doug Starn. This autumn and spring of 2018 Erin will travel to Switzerland work on a new project called, Thigmomorphogenesis.

Gaa Gallery is pleased to present Poetics of the Landscape, a group exhibition featuring Sophia Hamann, Heather MacKenzie and Erin Woodbrey. Poetics of the Landscape will be featured at Gaa Gallery’s new space in Provincetown, located at 494 Commercial Street, Provincetown MA. The exhibition will be open May 6 - 21 and will run concurrently with Appearances: Provincetown Green Arts Festival.  An opening reception will be held Saturday, May 7 from 4 - 6pm.

Gaa Gallery is pleased to announce an upcoming group exhibition, featuring works from Esteban Cabeza de Baca, Rodney Dickson, Kenneth Dunne, Sophia Hamann, Barry Stone, Ena Swansea and Erin Woodbrey.

The exhibition will run concurrently with Art Cologne and will be the gallery's first exhibition in Germany. The Gaa Gallery Project Space is located at Große Brinkgasse 8, 50670 Cologne, Germany and will be open from Sunday, April 10 - Tuesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 14 - Sunday, April 17 from 10am - 7pm with a reception and brunch Saturday, April 16 from 10am - 2pm. Parking is available across the street at the Parkhaus Bazaar de Cologne on Große Brinkgasse 11.

Thoralf Knobloch's painting, Teddy 1, is included in a group exhibition, Made in Gemany: Contemporary Art from Rubell Family Collection at the McNay Museum of Art in San Antonio, Texas.  The exhibition runs from February 10 to April 24.

Martin Mannig is currently included in a group exhibition featuring Takashi Murakami’s Superflat Collection at the Yokohama Museum of Art, Japan.  The exhibition features Martin Mannig's Haleeses Geheiss and will be up until April 3.

Happy New Year from all of us at Gaa Gallery. Thanks to your extraordinary support we had an amazing first year of our gallery in Wellfleet. We are excited to announce that this upcoming spring we will be opening an additional space on Commercial Street in Provincetown. The new space will enable us to continue showing a diverse roster of emerging and established artists. We are grateful for all the support you have shown us this year and are sending our very best wishes to you in 2016.

Gaa Gallery is pleased to present Now, Not Then, an exhibition of up and coming photographers, curated by Alex Eaton.
