Gina Osterloh (b. 1973, San Antonio, Texas) lives and works in Columbus, Ohio, where she is Assistant Professor of Art at The Ohio State University. A former longtime resident of Los Angeles, Osterloh is a self-described feminist and formalist who investigates the various facets of perceived and experienced identity through her photographs, drawings, videos, and performance, all of which explore the concrete and ephemeral components of the body and its built environment. Select recent solo exhibitions include ZONES at Silverlens in Manila, Philippines; Gina Osterloh at Higher Pictures in New York; Slice, Strike, Make an X, Prick! at François Ghebaly Gallery, Los Angeles; and Anonymous Front at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. Osterloh has received grants and awards from the Fulbright Foundation, the Woodstock Center of Photography, and the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
